CLEANROOM PASS BOX SERIES

Pass box, also called pass-through box, transfer hatch, or pass-thru hatch, is a cleanroom equipment mounted between two rooms or areas, through which materials, small or big, can be transferred between the two rooms or areas, thus saving the trouble of entering and leaving cleanroom, minimizing the air turbulence of opening and closing the doors, more importantly, lowering down or prevent from the risk of cross-contamination between the two rooms or areas.

Willson pass box series have two types, static pass box and dynamic pass box.   As the names suggest, static pass box is not equipped with dynamic device–blower, and HEPA filter, only UV germicidal lamp. However, dynamic pass box are equipped with all these components. Therefore,

• Static pass box is mainly used in non-critical environment where the main concern is preventing the transfer of contaminants between areas, such as in general manufacturing facilities.
• Dynamic pass box, with its air filtration system, is used in environments where maintaining air quality and minimizing the risk of contamination is crucial, such as in pharmaceutical manufacturing, laboratories, and cleanrooms

According to installation position, pass box also has two types:

• wall-mounted type (normally for small or light items), and
• floor-mounted type (normally for big or heavy items on trolley or pushing cart)

      Note: Static and dynamic pass boxes can be either wall-mounted or floor-mounted type
