Hand-made rockwool magnesium sandwich panel, different from machine-made sandwich panel, has a galvanized steel frame as an enclosure, (For the detailed differences, please click to this post: “Differences between hand-made sandwich panel and machine-made sandwich panel”), pre-coated steel sheets as double skins, rockwool blocks and magnesium plates as infill, single-side or two-side magnesium plate(s) as a strenthening measure to enable workers to walk on the panel for installation and maintenance.
With the advantages of best fire and sound resistance ability, rockwool and magnesium sandwich panels are the most widely used in cleanroom construction. Considering normally walk-on or walkable ceiling panels are required in cleanrooms, magnesium plate(s) will be added to strengthen the loading and hardness, making the rockwool & magnesium sandwich panels take place.
